
In a recent book called Europe's Promise a political author named Steven Hill seems to have pulled together the current economic unraveling into a coherent picture of the world economy. More accessible than Rifkin and less dogmatic than Krugman he argues clearly for a new understanding of economic growth based firmly in social democratic practice. Steven Hill writes regularly and provocatively for the Guardian. One of his more important themes is where current economics theory and approach simply get it wrong.
